Some suggestions:

Get donation of seeds from the local organic gardeners.

Buy different varieties of seeds and share among;

Enjoy organic fruits like all types of melons; or vegetables (with lots of seeds)
like pumpkins, squashes, and so on together, and share all the organic seeds.

Exchange saved organic seeds with each other each year.
Exchange vegetables and fruits harvests with each other.

Have everyone look around their garden beds, It seems everything I planted last year is reproducing itself.

Have people pot them up and sell at a garage sale.

Where I had tomatoes there are seedlings,Where I had Mums there are mums and so on.

When I mow I bag the grass and put it around my plants to keep the weeds away and to help hold the moisture.

You didn't say how much space you do have but you might consider herbs. Many of them don't take a lot of space and fresh ones are very popular.

If you are talking about business, you can simply start a shop online.
It does not cost a lot to you. If you need a business off-line, you really need
a good space for it. Moreover, you have to pay a bit before you are
able to show your ability.

I suggest you to do first some research online: what are the things that most of the people are interested in. Then you decide to start small.

You may start online then off-line. This way, people can see your ability before buying from your shop.

If you are talking about growing trees, like dwarf fruit trees are quite popular nowadays.

Growing first organic vegetables and soft fruits like strawberries, shrub-berries, or grapevines, you can do more in a small space, and you can save up your own food expenses.

When you can sell your quality fruits and vegetables, you can invest further with your abilities.

Remember always start from small, don’t think big before your business goes wild.

Sounds like you disturbed an earthworm or some other (very normal/natural) critter in the soil. Best advice is to just get back out there & get to know your local plants & animals. Get back in the saddle, so to speak.

If Square Foot Gardening is still available, it’s a great book for beginners! Not overwhelming at all. There was also a book called something like lasagna gardening……fun but if you don’t have access to the stuff, probably not practical. Gardening for Dummies………?? No offense, just they usually break it down into simple sections.

If you are in the US you can contact your Cooperative Extension Service in your county. They have gardening brochures that may be helpful. Also they have the Master Gardeners, trained volunteers to answer your (many) questions. That’s their job.
