Hi:
In a penthouse terrace you could have a wonderful container garden. You can plant vegetables, herbs, flowers and dwarf shrubs in different containers. You can arrange them in a container design on the terrace to look like an actual landscape garden. Depending on how much space you have, you can do three, five or seven planters. Always design in an odd number.
Container gardens are becoming more popular all the time. The key with plants in pots is to make sure you put a light weight potting soil along with some vermiculite and humas. Keep them watered and the right amount of sunlight. You will be able to have a wonderful garden.
Hope this has helped some and if you need any further suggestions, please feel free to contact me at my website. I will link you to my garden section as it has an article on container gardening. I will also link you to my site map where this has everything that is on the website. Browse through and take a look at the gallery of plant section for some ideas for you. Best of luck and have a great day!
Kimberly

container gardening. this method is so popular now, that even people who have room for a garden use it. anything will grow in the container, and you can use anything so long is has sufficient drainage. and old pot, and old work boot, just use your imagination, patio tomatoes plants are also available to purchase, some seed catalogs offer dwarf fruit trees that you can grow in containers, have fun with it.
